It depends on how big the solar panel is, what type it is and where you buy it.

Best to call around to places that distribute them to get a quote.

you can buy a small one to power cell phone for like 20 bucks. A panel for your house, just the panel and nothing else would be about 100 bucks.

Solar Panels range in cost greatly. It all depends on what size solar panel, how many watts in can generate, etc.

depends on how large you want them. i’m reasonably sure they’re priced by the individual solar cell with a sliding scale as bigger panels cost more than smaller panels per panel.

unlike some of the other sites i saw, this one’s from an .org which i think makes them a little more trustworthy since they’re a nonprofit. this is as opposed to some other sites i saw with crappy layout and design and an overall sense of shadiness.

    good luck.

    What size of solar panel?

I have one that charges 140W of power on a sunny day to a power supply and it was about $1,600(CAD)

I’m a film maker and I use it to charge up a power supply for lighting equipment during the day, it takes about all day to charge a small one… It doesen’t fold and It’s hooked up to an Eliminator 1200A powerbox… which is about 400$ and can run three floodlights for about 4-5 hours before it dims off and dies.

If it’s not a sunny day the power supply won’t completely charge, and you can’t charge it half-way and try to use it without wrecking the battery.

There’s smaller 15W panels for about 100$ if you’re just wanting it for a project or something.

Solar power should cost you approximatly 8.50$ per watt.

Therefore a 100w panel should cost around 850$

Box stores tend to sell panels for around 15$ per watt.

If you find the right company however, you could get a complete solar system (not installed) for about 8.50$ a watt, including inverters and etc.
